As part of Epic’s plan to drive more players to its platform Epic gives away a game for free every week, occasionally Epic Games will give away multiple games but not every week. This weeks game being given away for free was last week kept a secret as a ‘Mystery Game’. Now Epic has revealed that this weeks game is none other than Overcooked.

Overcooked will be free to add to your library until the 11th of June so make sure to grab it while you can! A couple of weeks ago now you may recall we highlighted a potential leak for the upcoming ‘Mystery Games’. It seems that with the announcement of Civilization VI and Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, that the source was absolutely correct and confirmed.

However as this weeks game is Overcooked as opposed to Ark: Survival Evolved, it seems there was a last minute change. This is speculated to be because the developers of Ark postponed an in-game event until the 11th of June due to the protests currently taking place around the world. Interestingly this would then coincide with Epic’s next Mystery Game that will be given away next week. Our ever reliable source Wario64 has tweeted that the next game will be Samurai Showdown Neogeo Collection and that it is confirmed not just a rumor although he doesn’t link his source. Perhaps then, we will get both Ark and Samurai Showdown next week, either way we will keep you updated!

Epic games also revealed last week that they are also giving away Sludge Life for FREE to keep FOREVER for a whole year. You have until 28th May 2021 to grab yourself a copy.

Trackmania is also up for grabs for FREE to keep FOREVER until its official release day on 1st July. That means you won’t be able to play it until then but hey free games are free games!

Since starting the free game giveaways in 2018 and throughout 2019 Epic gave away 73 games worth approximately $1450 that had been claimed over 200 million times.
