Survival, crafting, base building and micro management game developed by Bethesda as an off spin for the Fallout series. It is well made and fun to play.

Fallout Shelter is a Free to Play (F2P) idle progression game that wears a mask. It pretends to be more of a base building game and a survival crafting game but really it is just another idle progression game. You must send a dweller out into the Wasteland to explore and bring home resources and those all important Caps. You don’t control that dweller it just does everything on its own and it takes time, while that dweller is out there you concentrate on building your base out, you can build power, storage, living quarters and a canteen for food. Each room must have at least one dweller in to produce whatever resource they are making, it takes time. You can eventually have up to 6 dwellers in a single room which speeds up the process of making resources and you can also build a large variety of rooms.

Dwellers each have their S.P.E.C.I.A.L skills that can be trained up in training rooms similar to the Fallout series and more dwellers can be found in the Wasteland or by opening lunchboxes. Lunchboxes can be either found when doing quests in the Wasteland, by completing challenges or you can choose to buy them with real money. Most of your dwellers will come from breeding with each other in the living quarters. Once a male dweller warms up to a female dweller they will begin dancing and one thing leads to another and you have a child.

Once you have built the Overseer’s Office you can send up to 3 dwellers on a quest in the Wasteland to fetch certain rewards, these can be anything from Nuka Cola Quantum, Lunchboxes, Pets, Outfits, Weapons and so on. There are quite often new daily and weekly quests to go on and when there are Seasonal updates such as Halloween or Christmas there are also some special outfits and themed quests you can go on too. Seasonal updates also change the look of diners and living quarters in your vault.

All in all this is a very fun free game to play, I love the fallout theme, the base building and crafting gear or weapons, personally I like the idle progression type aspect to the game and I think that the fact you don’t need to spend real money in the game to enjoy it has been done really well, all things can be earned in game without spending money.
