Saw this was £0.39 on Steam (75% off) and thought how bad could it be?

This game is actually pretty good for a small simple game that it is. The goal is to survive hordes of zombies trying to kill you and you have some variety of weapons and defenses to help you.

There are two game modes, Defense and Endless Night.

Defense

First of all you can choose to play solo or allow others to join you when choosing this game mode or you can choose to find a game hosted by another player. Playing with others does help survivability however only the host can buy items such as walls, weapons, turrets and ammo.

You start with only a pistol to defend yourself and earn $ by killing zombies. You can buy weapons, walls and even turrets which can have any weapon mounted on them as you see fit. You do need to make sure that you buy ammo for all of the guns that are in use however because turrets will be useless if they are not shooting because of ammo shortages. In the later levels repairing walls and resupplying ammo can start to get very expensive since the zombies also progressively get faster, tougher and stronger.

The area you have to build is a little smaller than the edge of the map where the zombies will be spawning and you have a single lamppost in the center of the map providing some light. The very edge of the map is an invisible barrier and zombies will just spawn instantly so can occasionally block you if you happen to be running the edge of the map.

Lastly the items that you can buy to help your survivability sometimes can be bought slightly cheaper because they go ‘on sale’ which can be helpful but sometimes it can take a while for them to do so, in which case it might be more viable to buy them at their full prices.

Endless Night Mode

In this mode you can also choose to play solo or allow others to join you when choosing this game mode or you can choose to find a game hosted by another player. Again playing with others can help survivability but in this mode you cannot build defenses, you can only run around so make sure not to run into each other with a horde of zombies either side of you and get trapped!

This game mode runs ‘endlessly’ until you die, there is no daytime in which you can buy weapons or defenses or ammo, there is just one single night that lasts until you die. You can however pick up weapons dropped by zombies upon their death but the ammo is very limited for these so you will run out and your pistol (which has infinite ammo) will be pulled out again.

Overall

Great game for only £0.39 that i bought it for, does have achievements that took me only 5 hours to achieve but its a very simple fun game and for that price you can not go wrong!
